Live chat going slow ???

is there any reason why the live chat on my forum is going slow, its been like this since yesterday........anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

Hi,

The chatbox on your forum isn't designed as a 'live chat' alike xat, or facebook, it's an actual chatbox - thus a little lag is expected and perfectly normal Wink

maybe i mis used the term "live"..........what i mean the chatbox on my site is going very slow, it is usually more or less instant, give or take a milli second.

any thoughts anyone please ?

It's normal for it to take up to 5 seconds, it's a chatbox.

Seems to be the normal speed for me, how long is it taking aprox?

EDIT: For example, can u click your fingers twice before it sends the message, or over 8 seconds?

hi, counted up to 16 then a members post brought mine on at the same time, members are complaining the chat is slow too.......... scratch

Have you tried deactivating the chatbox then reactivating it?
