Do you use phpBB2? If yes, go to Administration Panel => Display => Templates => General => viewtopic_body => Find:
and replace by:
Save template and publish.
- Code:
{postrow.displayed.POSTER_AVATAR}
and replace by:
- Code:
<center>{postrow.displayed.POSTER_AVATAR}</center>
Save template and publish.

When i put that code, it's centered both vertically and horizontally. Is there a way just to center it horizontally?

You should consider using something else rather than center tags.

Check how many <br /> tags do you have after this {postrow.displayed.POSTER_AVATAR}. Try removing any if you have them to lower the gap.
