Changing Domain Name

I have recently switched from another website to forumotion. I'd like to change my domain name to my previous (released) domain name. I was provided an EEP code and told to refer to my new registrar (forumotion). Could any admin help me change my domain name?

Cheers,
Tipsy

Hello,

Forumotion doesn't take transfers of domain names to their service. You will only be able to redirect your domain to your forum using another domain host.

He/she has the EPP code, so he/she can transfer the domain to GoDaddy and use the domain on his/her ForuMotion forum.

Okay so let me get this straight. I pay 20 bucks to get 1600 credits just for the forum address for one year to forumotion. Then I have to pay an additional 7 bucks a year just for GoDaddy to host that address for me as a 'subdomain'...?

If that's the case, can I get the credits refunded or is that no longer possible as well?

You said you got the EPP key from somewhere else? Where is the domain name actually bought from?

So you will need to register your domain name with GoDaddy.

Just as Master Marc mentioned

No, there is no refunds.

I suggest that you get a new domain name. Wink

You did not buy the domain name from Forumotion, there is no question of a refund here. Moreover, i doubt whether your other host will give you a refund for a domain name.

Figured. Close the thread and say 'solved' then I'll give the forum off to somebody else. Thanks for the "support" anyways lol.
