Hi,
With your script, you must replace "Link here" with a valid link, starting with http:// ... ie, http://facebook.com .
If the issue is that you don't want Guests to see any links, I have a far simpler way
Navigate: Admin panel >> General > Categories & forums > Find the specific forum > click on the 'Permissions' button and change the drop down box that is adjacent to 'See links in the messages' > Save. Repeat for each specific forum.

Only what I get to do is: Admin Panel>General > Categories & forums > Find the specific forum>Permissions>uncheck the box "Guest" under the "View and Read".It's only choice to forbid guests to see the links and the specific forum.

Ćao Talacini,
Darrens solution doesn't work cause you have added your DOWNload links in code tags
If you pull them out of the code tags it will work.
There is a way to hide code tags with JS but anyone can disable JS in their browser and see them.

I read on some forums that do not need to post clickable links for the protection of search engines. If this is true in general. Can you tell me your opinion, that I place links in code tags or not?

Hmm. that's a tricky question, only cause of one thing. Download is strictly forbiden on Forumotion.

In the past, when guests clicked on links the links would open. Now they don't. You have to be logged in as a member to open a link.
Is there a way to revert back to the way it used to be?
Thanks!
