Forum White Background

I'm quite new to CSS and HTML code, I've tried everything I know and looked a lot of other places too. I just can't find the code to make the ugly white bg infront of my bg slightly more transparant. And when I did make it transparant the other rows weren't. I'm sure their called row1 row2 and what not. Whats the code to change the opacity?
