Creating a forum widget

So I'm currently trying to make a music player widget that will stay open after the page is refreshed! Is this even possible or do i have to make a pop up window for music?

You would have to have a new window for music that doesn't get refreshed as when the page is refreshed it will refresh the music player aswell

So there's no way to do something, like the facebook chat for example, that would stay open even after you click a link?

no... even facebook chats refresh but the cookies remain, that is why the conversations stays on the chat.
