Hi there,
So on my forum, I noticed a little green box on the home page of the admin panel saying we got a free domain name. I'm just wondering why some other forums didn't get a free domain name while some did. Is there anything that contributes to getting one? And are they totally free for as long as the forum lives or just temporary? Thanks in advance!

It is based on forms' activity points.

Ah ok. ^^ Is there any way to see how many activity points your forum has? And how many are needed to recieve the free domain name?

Thanks!
One last question: How does one go about getting activity points? Do you get one each time you log in per day or something?

There are differnet things like:
registered members

Forumotion does not exactly say what is included.

Hi,
This domain is a gift from ForuMotion, for having such a popular forum in it's category. (IE; gaming, social networking, ect)
It is ofcause, as a gift, free, and is only valid for 1 year. Towards the end of the year, you may receive the same notification for ForuMotion to RENEW or take a DIFFERENT Domain, which will ofcause, again, be free
If however, you are NOT offered, unfortunately, if you wish to keep it you will have to purchase it.
if you do not renew it before the renewal date, you will NOT be able to re-purchase it for 90 days AFTER it was deactivated, as it needs some time to go through certain procedures, as set out by ICCAN - the world wide domain people.

Hey guys!
I think that Forumotion should have a free fomain thing for 1 hour so people who really want one but don't have the money, have a 5/10 chance of getting one. Only 50-100 active forums will be accepted to get one.
What do you think?
