Make a poll appear on main page? (made in topic but can't get widget working)

Hi guys.
I have created a topic and added a poll to it.
Navigated to forum widgets management in admin panel.
There is a page divided into three columns.
Left column
Polls and recent topics is displayed.
Middle Column
"Forum content will go here"
Right column
Empty
Clicked on modify in "Polls" and selected the poll I have made.
But nothing shows up on the forum. The only place the poll is visible is in the topic in which it was created.
Also, recent topics does not show up.
Have I somehow stopped the widgets from displaying?
Or do the widgets not work in PunBB?
Help please!

Hi, it's ok I solved it.
At the top of the widgets page where it says show forum widgets, yes or no, I had "yes" selected but had the column width set to zero.
Changed the column width to 180.
That fixed it.
