Links at the Bottom of My Forum?

They seem to of just appeared there today, why? Is it possible to remove them? They do not look right at all and completely ruin the feel to my forum. I spent some credits on "Copyrights", but only removed some of the links and left the above.

Help on removing these would be appreciated.

Yeah, it's weird. Dunno what's up with this.

Hey !

Seem like you can't remove it, just because PHPBB is the engine of your forum, so I guess it's normal to see that on your free forum. For the abuse report, I think it's normal too, because people who need to report something will be able to.

Have a nice day ! Smile

People who have abuse problems can report it through a thread on the forums or a PM to me, I'm the owner of the forum.

The links aren't centred, the font size isn't right and it really does stand out. Not a good look, was just wondering if I could hide/remove them maybe?

Hello Hello ,

It's normal to see this since the last update. These links are important for the good operation of your forum and can't be removed.

That's the thing, I see other forums without those links.

Is there anyway to actually center them and make the links a little smaller? They seem to be at the left of the page.

Hi,

Can you post a link to your forum please?
8 sgeorge, on 16/01/2012 at 13h17
Yeah !! They completely destroy our style... Are we allowed to move them at least ???

It is so bad... Before the last update we were able to move them a bit up... Please at least add them in a div so we can move them with css... or leave us to access it Sad

Thanks !

Hi,

I was able to center the links and change the font type/and size. But, is it really necessary to have the "Report an abuse" link at the bottom of the forum? Again, I have staff for that sort of thing. I can still supply you that link if you want it. So, I take it there is no way you can hide that link? That's the only link I want to hide and I don't really care about the other links, I guess.

I've been on other Forumotion forums, and some don't have that link at the bottom of the page. I payed for the copyrights to be removed at the bottom of my forum and was hoping that "Report an abuse" link would get removed with it too - but it didn't.

Since The Godfather answered in plural, "these links", than I suppose both should stay since he's the one whose answer counts. I'm sorry.

Can you make them at least to be in a div so we can move them right or left ?

The best thing would be to have access on them from the templates... Confused

You should be able to move them with a.copyright on phpBB2?
13 sgeorge, on 16/01/2012 at 13h54
The character " | " will stay there... Confused

I've already tried that !!! the "|" does not even have a class !

Well, if you cannot remove/hide the "Report an abuse" link, can you edit the links page? As I want to change it around so the members know the main e-mail for my forum so one can address abuse problems and whatnot.

If that's not possible, consider this solved. Thanks for the help/info on this. Wink

Anything new ??

Hi all,

SGeorge, no you cannot modify the "|" as it is built into the current script and probably doesn't have a specific code. The devs most likly wont create a div for it, however, if you wish, feel free to make a suggestion for it Wink

Hardcore Gamer - It is a legal requirement to have the "Report an abuse" link - if you modify or remove it, you are violating the Terms of Service. Is it also a legal requirement to have the PHPBB/PunBB/InVision there as the script that run them are based on the originals, but heavily modified to be compatible with us.
There is no way to modify to legally remove these, even if you purchase the removal, it removes all non-leagally required links.
Sorry.

Yeah, I now understand that, Darren1. Wink

Thanks to everyone helping with this.

Not a problem, completely my pleasure Smile
