Hi !

I don't know if you have already tried this but you can add the like button in the admin panel :
Modules -> Portal & widgets-> Forum widgets management
and add the like/tweet/+1 button

Here is an image of a Facebook like button on my forum (phpBB2). This image has like buttons and share button for the forum/homepage.
