instead of having ranks by the number of post i think it is better to have ranks by the number of points as the admin can donate points to a person and that person can have the rank!

No I like them by posts. Points don't make sense because you can lose them.

I think there should be an option that you need a certain amount of points to post in a section of a forum, so that if you have say +1 points then you can post in that certain section but it will -1 point for posting, so you would not be able to postagain
Hey, i think when people buy points for the forum they go straight into a rank or can pick from a range of ranks (set by admin)
this makes things like v.i.p possible
