What forum version are you currently using? And if so I may be able to help, however, it may be impossible to get rid of those lines unless you use your own theme or template.

phpBB2. Those tables are using default class="forumclass".

EDIT

I have actually just changed the color of those lines to blend with the bg so it looks like they are not there.
