I did search this and didnt find anything but i apologise if it has already been a suggestion. It is completely possible to build a website for your forum using the HTML pages facility in the forumotion admn panel, however...its not possible to set the website as the page your guests and members will arrive at when going to your forum address except either the portal if activated or the forum index if not. The best example i can give for this is my own basic (there is much more that can be done) articles webpage made using the HTML pages facility, obviously if i could set it as the homepage, it would not just be an articles site...:

Its not that hard to do, and because its pure HTML you can add seperate meta tags for each HTML page. What do you think? would you like to be able to choose what page a visitor sees first when going to your site?

Yes however there is crazy issues that when you do select your homepage it then replaces your freaking forum hahaha
Not good if you still want members to use the forum

Ok right now there is a way to set your own homepage by adding an html page thru the admin panel
Once done you can select it to be your homepage
Your forum index i.e www.whatever.com/index jumps from the forum to the html page because your forum isn't the index any more, the html page is
You then loss the ability to gain access to the main forum
