i donno whteher this is already suggested ,but have a small idea
it is better if the admin of the forum know what the users are doing like example
private messaging,posting a messaging,viewing the forum so on
this will help admin know the status of his forum
like my suggestion?

i voted no. Its enough for me to see the members on my forum and i can tell by the statistics what things are most popular. This feels a little too close to tracking their every move and personally if i was a member, i wouldnt like that.

I'm not sure how much you really need to know, but you can go to the admin panel->misc->board statistics and see all the users, logged in or not, their ips, and where they currently are. Also, if you have the portal set up and are using the users feature on it there is a link that says view full list, that will show you the users and where they are. Is there something more specific than those that you want to see?

Theyhave this feature on Invision free; only all users can see what each person is doing. They call it 'last click' and I like it alot. It's really nice to see what everyone's last click was; that way you can tell if they've read your stuff or not, or if they're posting. That can be crucial in a spar. Especially if you've been waiting on a response for a few days.~_^

I like the idea because someone could be deleting or hacking the forum yet the present system would say viewing forum index.

if they were deleting or hacking your forum, it wouldnt show any different than viewing forum index, i had an invisionfree board for 2 years with last click. It only shows you updates every 5 mins.

Well, it's not like your going to be able to tell, if they were hacking, even without last click. Not unless your an ML expert anyway.

Lots and lots of reading and 24 years experience as a coder and hacker (No by hacker I don't mean script kiddie who's only goal in life is to screw anyones computer up!).
I mean hacker who converts programmes at the machine code level to suit their own purposes.
