I've got another suggestion, though I'm not sure how feasible it is.
The idea is to add a BBCode spoiler tag - basically, that the text will not be able to be read unless highlighted. This would be really useful at my sites and ones that I post at, as Harry Potter boards there are always lots of spoilers and it's often hard to stop yourself from reading them. A spoiler tag would come in very handy here.
Thanks

Hello
I agree, this tag would be very useful, because if we use the [hide] one, anyone who posts in the topic will be able to read the spoil, even if the person doesn't want to, so I think a [spoil] tag is better

I really don't see the use, yet I agree it could help people. So I'm not voteing since I'm in a 50-50 situation

I also agree for this tag.
I rather prefer the spoiler tag than the hide tag, because the text is hidden behind a link and that we only need to click on the link to reveal the text. The hide tag, which hide text to people who have not posted, has the downfall to incitate (not sure about the English word) to flood, because people will tend to post only to see if there are hidden elements...
Personally, it happened to me that I fell on a spoiler about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince before I read this book. It's really disappointing when it heppens, because you already know what will happen before you read the book...
Yes, there is a trick to use a text color which is the same as the background, but if the background is textured or has a color which is not in the basic ones in the bbcode, it becomes really difficult to find a text color which will make the text completely invisible.
More, the spoiler tag allows you to lighten your pages when you put many pics and texts

Hello,
I'm not sure we will develop this spoiler tag, or if we do , it may be a bit different from what you suggests, specially to avoid illegal links hard to see.
