The reason I am suggesting this is because I have a jokes section and some members have been posting only in this section to go up through the ranks.

Yes on that. It would be great. I have a game room, and my member's are not really sure on the points system yet. i haven't had the chance to really go over it with them. We have some games that they get to big and want to start all over. So, if you could come up with this feature, i think it would be good for all forums and not just certain ones. i don't think that would be right.

yes but it should only be for members not admins or mods. so if a admin locks the rules for instance the post count should still go up

We are talking about postcounts here and seriously they cost you nothing at the end of the month, think about it

K I think there should be a option where you disable the post count on a board in your forum and then when members post in that board it doesn't effect their post count. A great example, and what I'd use this for, is a forum games section. Where members
I suggest their Be a button in options that you can choose that will disable the post count for users so that when a users posts something, their "Posts:" will not rise.
