I think it should be a chooseble option in our admin panels like other phpbb boards have.Against spambots...

this is already a phpbb feature.so when comparing with some utopic requests it seems more realistic.

Yes, it's a good idea! But the admin must have the option to switch on or off the captcha via the Admin Panel.

Is this implemented yet? If not it definitely SHOULD be! I mean it is the responsibility of forum admins to keep spammers at bay but we can only do this if our forums allow us to keep our members safe.
