Update No. Of post count for users
As i have seen many people asking for help regarding this topic, i thought of opening a thread in suggestions section so that we can vote and see if we get any outcome..
So ppl if you think that the Admins of a Forum should have a separate module wherein he/she can update any member's post count to whatever is needed.. then do vote a yes

I vote 'yes'! It means alot more to members to have their post count reset for violation of forum rules than it does the number of private messages.

I was in fact one of the people that asked about this yesterday or the day before.
I have just come over here (5 days ago) from another system where my members have build up, some in the thousands, of posts.
I would dearly have loved to have been able to give them their post count here so that they had the same user ranks as they have left behind.
Would be a nice addition.
I love this system btw. So do my members.

All you can directly do is vote "yes" if you want it. Should the techs consider it, they would put it in the next update.
I vote yes.

Vote yes! members beed somewhere to chat and save there conversation but admin don't want record post counts
15 Dana, on 25/04/2008 at 04h14
I think that'd be a great idea. Cause if a member deletes a post by mistake they can get the post count back.

I also moved my site from another (Yuku ) to here, so far everyone likes it better for the most part, But this is one of the features that I had with the other site and I miss it here... I vote YES, we need the option.

I've seen this feature on smf forums.
It should be able to be implemented on phpbb.
I suggest their Be a button in options that you can choose that will disable the post count for users so that when a users posts something, their "Posts:" will not rise.

K I think there should be a option where you disable the post count on a board in your forum and then when members post in that board it doesn't effect their post count. A great example, and what I'd use this for, is a forum games section. Where members
