Hide Online Status As Check Box When Logging In

I was thinking it may be useful for the user to have the option of turning of 'Hiding Online Status' by using a check box on the log in page as users may not always wish to hide their status.

i vote no, theres other things id like to see and i know others would like to see besides something that requires 2 extra clicks to do.

I agree it would be a minor task that the techs could do without but it is a valid suggestion I would have thought.
