Put a poll with Yes and No so users can vote for this suggestion

I have been to many forums to have secret gender sections. But they do it by creating groups, and allowing each member decide if they want to join that group.

It can be an open group, so that the person can click groups and click to join. Then if approved, you can set them to be in that group. It is quite simple actually.

So I do not see the need to make a modification to make it happen automatically. It just seems silly to me.

I vote no. And you know what if the techies actually add anyu of our suggestions, my money is on that this would be added

I vote no. Many people might see it as sexist, which would create problems.

I don't think it would be a good idea because in order to see the females' side or the males' side, the members would just change the gender to a different one. I don't think it would benefit because anyone could see anything in each part.

Hm, yeah there could be problems with members changing their gender... I think that what skittles said about the groups though might have better potential.

The reason I suggested this is, because many times there are certain topics that only us girls want to discuss (you know, girl-things), and vise versa. It has nothing to do with being sexist, but rather appealing to both sides by allowing each the privacy to talk freely amongst others that understand them and without worrying about the opposite gender seeing something that they'd rather not share with them.

it should be a private/secret boards for people who wants admin, but not male/female

Yes you are right. Like I said I know several forums who have this. No one has ever felt bad about it. Most of the time the guys forums are not ever used, or rarely. And the women's is used a lot. And trust me, the guys do not want to hear about cramping, bleeding, and spotting! LOL

The only problem is you have to be careful in who you make an admin, as they will have access to both forums. You need a trusted member of both sexes to moderate those forums to make sure it is taken care of.

So by the sounds of this, do you want to withdraw your suggestion? As you just stated a potential problem, with people changing their gender in the profiles, so they can gain access.

Well, yes, if that would be the way that this could be done -- then it's probably better that this wasn't made into an actual feature, as I'm sure many sneaky people would constantly be gender-shifting in order to get in on the fascinating topics of blood and pain!
