Inactive users, to have an option to delete people that haven't posted in x amount of days. Currently it displays users that have NEVER posted, but there isn't a way to see members that haven't posted in 6 months for instance, if they were an active member and now they aren't.

i was comming here to suggest something like that ...
which is to have an option to set up a period lets say 3 month if the user is inactive he/she will be auto deleted from the database

Yea and auto delete would be cool too. It can be a box that you enter how many months. My forum would probably be set to a year.

Personnally, I think that people who posted by the past are members.
But this is my point of view ( I just give it, I don't vote ^^ ).

BTW I want this for lurkers. I have members that login once and a while but never seem to post. Yet they have 1-2 posts so they don't show up under inactive at the moment, but they ARE inactive in my opinion.

I think this is a good idea to save hours deleting members who have never posted.

i dont like this idea why would you want to delete people for nothing
but hey if it was a option to turn off that ok

Before you delete them there should be an automated message sent to them asking if they still want to be a member.

I agree with Spook and Co.
On Forge-Star there are also people who register, sometimes confirm, an that's about it.
Wevan (a Co-Admin) and me, we regularly delete those users once a month (there's a warning in the extra rules)
It would be easier for us if there was an option

I usually do, but they never reply. I also send newletters reminding people to post....specially if they login once and a while but never post. Gives me the jeebies about them just lurking lol.

I can see this option working for MMO guilds that require their members to submit a post every so often. The philosophy is to ensure that the guild is kept up-to-date due to team effort by all.

I think that this would be ok as long as it is optional and not something which is automatic
