hello ppl .. i think if techs make a box like this in pic.. under every topic.. of SIMILAR THREADS. so that if any1 is checking a thread he can also find similar topic name thread just by clicking on below posts.n it also saves times in searching few topics. it also helps to merge same topics.. Very Happy

so i want u all guys to state yr point / opinion n help making like this in every sites as soon as possible.with help of tech.:wééé:

Naw. I am not really for this, there are better things to have the tech's doing I think instead of worrying about whether two threads are similar and if we should hurry go and lock one. Even when threads are similar the convosations there can be universes different.

merge button is not for showing only... its for merge almost same topics. n this thing helps to know which threads r similar.. u can also get to know which topics hav been posted twice or thrice.. i know how great this is.. once this is set up in all forums.. ppl will find it easier to manage topics... rock

I've seen this Feature on another forum I am a member of that is powered by vBulletin.

I vote Yes, but I think it might be too advanced for a Free Forum Providor right now to implement in their forums.

its not abt having advanced.. its abt how u can be able to manage yr forum easily .. avoid double post, merge, split topics, so if ur searching a topic of for example - NERO SOFTWARE.. so at end of this topic u can find in similar thread if there is any other NERO s/w topic also opened.. n can search respectively. guitar

It actually sort of is......the Forum needs to be able to support this feature so you can have it.
I said that it might be too advanced because I have only seen this feature on Forums that you need to pay alot for to host every year.

Use the 'search' function...similar threads are all right there considering you know what you're looking for.

No, I dont think it is an good idea because I think not many people would use the `similar topics` thing and plus it would take forumotion too long to make and install.

I have to agree on the Search Feature....it works bascially excatly the same.

I'd rather right now have the Techs work on a Completley new feature Forumotion has never seen...
