I was fascinated by the ranks with number of posts. Rank determines number of posts and sometime not if they are special ranks. What I would like to suggest is to based the rank in who is the most active.
For example:
Ranks:
passive
active
most active
Day 1 is over
Sho posted 1 time
Tel posted 3 times
Don posted 2 times
In this case, Tel posted many times than Don so Tel will get the rank most active, don will get the active and sho will get passive.
Day 2 is over
Sho posted 10 times
Tel posted 8 times
Don posted 9 times
In this case, Sho will get the most active rank, Don will get the active rank and Tel will get the passive rank.
The number of posts does not change, it increases, but the rank changes based on how a member will be active for the last 24 hours. This can also be based in percents.
For example, the forum has just started and after 1 day, there were 100 posts made by 3 members.
1st member made 50 % of the post
2nd member made 35% of the post
3rd member made the 15% of the post.
A medal would be automatically awarded to 1st member because he got the most number of post in the last 24 hours. The medal award picture will be like the ranks, there will be default and we could also upload our own. The award will be automatically appear inferior to the name but superior to the picture.

This is liike the suggestion I made where they have theirs but on top of that you can also, make your own awards like most active of they year, most helpful, etc. and you can make them and award them to members of your own choice.
