ChatBox Banning and Moderating

I think that it would be a good idea if you could set it so that if you didn't want your name to show up when you ban someone. Like If I ban a member it say that USERNAME has been Banned By ADMIN and also you could go into the chatbox settings on the Admin Panel and type it into that. Same for Moderating.

Yes, I agree. Someone had to be banned on our site the other day, and because the chatbox is usually busy when the admin is around, everyone saw what happened.

Personnaly I'd tend to vote no.
When I ban someone, I find no shame in it being me doing it. In fact, I want him to know it was me.
There are several reason for this:
- if he has complaints, he knowswho to address them to
- people know what happens if they don't follow the rules rambo

It doesn't mean I don't understand other people's way of seeing it, I just don't share it rambo

It's not that we don't want the person who is banned to see, but the other people. They might be friends with them, and then see the admin in a bad light for banning.

It's not that you're ashamed either, but sometimes to maintain nice relations with everyone on the forum, you have to keep some things private.

So yes, I'm definitely for this idea Smile

I know normally, I'm a happy presser when it comes to applying rules, but this thread isn't (yet) turning into flood and it's support in a way.
=> keeping a good communication between forum and staff members, an essentiel point of the support system...

At the limit, mayby we could move this topic to the General Discussions Wink

You are always a happy presser Caihlem Wink

She knows about me, yet as a general atmosphere it's not too bad Razz

I voted yes because some people might want it to be a silent matter if it is a serious issue.
