I propose that we have the ability to only show the widgets on the index or all pages. As well as placing them on the top and bottom of the index or other pages.

great idea

I like it. The widgets don't bother me so much at the index or browsing sub-forums, but it gets to become clutter when viewing a thread. I may wish to have them not displayed when viewing a thread, should the option become available.

I like this idea also. It may solve some other problems I am having with them being able to see the admin posts as they are only showing up when looking at another thread.

I like the new forum widgets layout just wish we had more options to go with it.

It would give a great deal of flexibility to allow the placement of forum widgets by design instead of the same placement on each page.

Pages of my forum could be greatly improved by allowing items to be removed or placed in a manner best for the page they are on. On some pages they are just in the way.

(not to mention that adding and removing them changes the profile of the forums top line as their addition does not conform to the straight top line the forum has when they are not added)

i'm with you on this one kilsek...

for example on your d&d site... on the forgotten realms forum you'd like to see forgotten realm images and links in the widget ... and so goes for any other sub forum you have

I actually agree on this suggestion. I would like the flexibility of this.

Exactly!

This would soo rock! And if they really wanted to make us happy, we could add top and bottom widgets!

I pretty much think Kilsek hits suggestions right on.. and this is no exception. I vote yes!

And just taking a stab in the dark here... but as it seems that almost every single suggestion that has only 1 'no' vote also does not have that nay-sayer posting a comment... could it be a tech waltzing in and voting it down? Really, I see no reason why this and many other suggestions have a 'no' vote when they are good suggestions that would help Forumotion grow to the ranks of the plethora of other forum hosting sites that have had most of these features implemented for quite some time. (Sorry.. been going through all the polls today and have seen NONE of the member's suggestions put to use yet. It's kinda frustrating.. and irritating, really.)

I agree with jalokim!
the search is pathetic.

This feature is flexible, and is also well over due.

Voting yes (and haven't said it in a while)

The additions of Widgets to the forum was a good idea. It appears that many have entered request for the ability to alter widgets, dependent on the page they appear on which is also a good idea. My request is I think important, much simpler and I feel
I'd like to be able to use forum widgets on the top of the forum, not just on the sides. This way i can set a guest welcome, please register, etc widget that only guests can view than it wont be there once their logged in and registered.
