It would be great if it were possible to add blogs to your forum. From admin panel you could enable or disable this feature.

It could include something like what I have been thinking:

* recent posts
* the most active bloggers
* own blog banner (maybe 500x150px)
* comment feature (ON / OFF)

What do you think?

vBulletin has this feature but in my opinion they have done some pretty bad work with it.

What about SOSblog??
forumotions blog service??
You can create a blog via the SOSblog and just add a link to the blog... if you know your way around iframe you can add a small preview of whats on the blog on your portal...
I don't think it should be integrated with forumotion forums... cos basically its the same thing. a blog and forum

That's good suggestion. I might even consider doing that in the way you described. But I would still love an integrated blog feature.Razz

Is there not blogs already provided or at least available to use!?

I have created one, should be on the bottom right of your page on the links bar!!

I know the SOSblog (actually I have a SOSblog blog myself) but I was talking about integrated blog feature. What I mean is that you could just click "blogs" from the navbar and there would be like recent posts and lists of top bloggers and also the settings of your own blog (which is located on my forum). It's hard to explain but integration is the keyword.

I'm moderating one forum (> 30 000 users) which uses vBulletin software. The admin has enabled the blog feature and I don't like the system at all. Same kind of feature integrated in a phpbb forum would be truly awesome.

Yes, I'm aware of this but some kind of integration is the thing I'm talking about. An integration which allows you to add and run a blog in your forum, not in separate blog site. When you are using for example Gallery you don't need to add a link to your homepage where other people can find your photos. I hope you guys understand what I mean. It's not the same thing to just add a link to SOSblog. Exclamation

Well this feature is already in Invision Board. Anyhow it is basically a place where you could have a forum community Blog. It is a button in your navigation bar, when pressed on takes you to the community Blogs. In the community Blogs your forum members
Why don't we combine SOSBlog with the forums so users have a blog on their profiles that they can update and others can comment on.
