Hello everyone!
Now, i don't know about you, but i have a VIP/Premium member section on my forum.
Sadly, there are two bad things about this.
My donations are taken to paypal, instead of being as points - I can live without that, if this mod gets put in though.
I'll have to put every person who donates into the VIP group manually.
So here's what i'd like to see in future:
A paid subscriptions page, at which the forum owner could choose different subscriptions (may it be advertisement, premium membership) or whatever.
The forum owner should also be able to define the price, and if it should be monthly, or a one-time payment. Yearly maybe.
Now, when members paid, this should go directly to the forum credits, and the user paying should then be put into the usergroup defined, and be given the - if any - rank related.
This would make it much easier for the forum owner, and it'd be more fun for the member, as he is upgraded immediately.
I've seen it around vBulletin, so i'm pretty sure that it's possible.

I am a paid up vip on a few v bulletin sites, it works well, and keeps the site topped up if it needs to buy add . the ones I belong too the donation lasts for a year. there is a minimum donation but if somone is feeling generous they can donate more than the minimum required.

Yeah - I like that, but i'd like it to be automatic

it is done automatically on most guitar forums out there....
You get to click a link to contribute, select which contribution you want and pay via pay pal, then when you go back to the merchant, tadaaaa its all set up automatically

I like this idea, for the most part.

I just had an idea...
You could create a group ''contributors'' with a specific colour for exemple and a tagg ''contrubutors'' under the name...
So if somebody donated you could add him to that group and add the tagg this way he will feel special
I'm going to try that solution and see if its a good idea to do it that way....

I think we should have subscriptions, where you set different buying options, set the price, and payment method, and when they complete the payment it sets them to the user-group you set instantly, for example:
