Well i guess at least some of you have went on vacation and came back and the forum has several pages with unreaded threads you dont wanna look though all XD.
so maybe have like mark forums read button i have seen these buttons before.
and maybe have the feature to set it on and off

Well, i think it should be like vBulletin.
When there are new posts in a forum you get the "New post" image - When doubleclicking that, it marks all posts as read.
Don't know if that was also what you meant

you can mark topics as read by clicking the link at the top right side of the index page.
