"Skin" Team

*This is my first suggestion, so please delete or lock it if it doesn't suit..*

Walking around the forum, I have seen the Skins requets are now closed, due to lack of creators...

My idea is to create a "Skin" Team. By Skin Team I mean a team of 2 to 4 people able to create skins for Forumotion, that would be (as the GFX team) the reference if a skin request is posted. This team would be of course able to create skins, but also to support their own creations, for details like CSS, pictures sizes, etc. This would delete some work for the GFX team, cause the Skin Team would be "independant" from them.
(Of course, a new subforum all about skins would be needed too).

I believe this would delete the lack in this forum, and it could bring much more new forums, because let's admit.. Even if most of the the Hitskin skins are wonderful, it's very often hard to find something that suits perfectly to your wishes... Rolling Eyes

very nice idea. but where are we going to find 2-4 people who would take alot of their time to make skins?

So are you saying 4 people work together, some people doing the graphics some doing the CSS? It wouldn't take very long if everyone was doing it.

It could be this, but what I proposed is a team of people that are the "references" for building skins.
So if there is a request, a problem, a change to do in CSS or else, it's to them people have to talk.
They would be some kind of "specialists" Neutral

And of course they can work together Smile

Amen , i have been telling typlo that we should have a team of moderators for hitskin... they'd have the power to change comments and delete themes.

But typlo said that hitskin is a free service for members ... its a site with members' creations and that its not actually a professional site for themes ...
I think that is stupid , i spend good hours trying to create something nice for you guys, but my themes get pushed down by some cheap adapted themes with the only change to the navigation bar.

I think we need a hitskinPRO ... only exclusive (only on hitskin) and only the best of the best themes. leave hitskin for members themes , whilst hitskinPRO would showcase real themes.
I should actually create a forum with themes and charge for using them. make a nice premium set of themes to use.I see elements of my themes on many sites ... and that sucks... i didn't spend time matching the navigation buttons to the index buttons just to have them place on a totally different site.

I Like the moderators for Hitskin though, I just hate themes that are default pro silver themes with just a new banner and a few buttons, but one's like my first ever theme "Lizard" that are rubbish but it still took me quite alot of time to make shouldn't be "deleted"

Of course Jalokim's idea to make a HitskinPro, or moderators for Hitskin would be some stuff for The Skin Team Smile

Sure Hitskin is a real problem for "real" skinners that do some work that sometimes take a whole day, it's a bit annoying to see our "nice" work is pushed away by a skin called "xxx V1.56.587"

I agree with the Hitskin Pro, which would be moderated by the Skin Team, and could accept skins etc...

Rrrr I've got loads of ideas about this Very Happy

if they make a skin team i would be happy to be part and help out.I have made skins and i am getting the hang of it.I got lots of time to make them.
