i love to be able to remove these links on phpbb3 and make it harder for people who want to make a forum like my, at the moment there are 3 new staffordshire bull terrier forums on forumotion and the people who have made these forum are ex member or members of my forum Confused so if i could be able to remove these link it will help me out alot. there are so many staffordshire bull terrier forums already and these extra one is going make it harder for me to find new members.

i would be willing to pay for this.

yes i understand why you would want this. But anyone with a half a brain would just need to google free forums and they would come up, thats how we found forumotion.

blackeye i cant believe people voting no,

yes they can do a google like what i did i look at many free forum host before i made my one, i wont have problem then but they using my forum to make there own that what i dont agree with. this option will slow people down making staffordshire bull terrier forums on forumotion.
7 kerry, on 01/09/2008 at 17h13
But i dont see how it would slow them down, If they think they can make a better forum or whatever they will still go and do it, so your problem would still cont.

well they can search for a free forum host i dont want to stop them, i just dont want them clicking on crate free forum on my forum to make there own, what so hard to understand i haven't got a problem with them making one but i dont want to make it easy for them to find a good free forum host.

when your forum get as big as my you will understand Smile when your members make a forums like your and sending pm & email to your members asking them to join the their forum.

I vote no since you just Google forums and it will come up with forumotion
10 Guest, on 01/09/2008 at 19h46
why vote if you wouldn't use this option GOD!!!

if you google free forum it wont just give you forumation for godsake scratch

and if you had this opiton it would make it look like a proper one

and you can always do this on phpbb2 so they should let you do it on phpbb3 too.

Yeah but when you google free forum forumotion is second..... so people would look at first on and second one and see whats best and forumotion is better then the first one.

Look it does give you forumotion

There's no need too be rude, this can always be a problem, but thats what happens, but if you have loyal members and people like you, then people won't go will they
16 Guest, on 01/09/2008 at 20h41
we not talking about loyel members we talking about people that come across my forum and see a link Crate a free forum Very Happy and then they will think yes let make a forumn for myself and just copy most of his catecory and stay on his forum and try to poach a few of his members.

so what i'm saying let me pay like £15 to £25 a year to remove these links and let these member who want to make there own search for a free forum host by there self.

and for people like you who dont want this just dont pay for it Smile easy

I voted yes!!

this idea is actually the same as template for phpbb3. just the the techs haven't done it for phpbb3 yet. (no idea why!)
18 Guest, on 04/09/2008 at 02h12
Version3 just needs template editing!

Simple as that they have been without it too long. But then again we have been waiting for a real update longer than version2 has had template editing.

I think phpbb4 would be out by then. lol! lol!
