Ideas for Profile

I hope you like my ideas:
* Have people give each other compliments on the profile
* Have people decorate the profile

But it should be a common one. A problem I have on many message boards is that I often tend to be the guy that corrects misinformation and shoots down BS, which isn't very popular, so in some communities I get lots of negative votes from folks that I just corrected because nobody likes being told that they're in error. So, if someone looks at those votes/scores/feedback it would look like I'm a terrible member of those communities, even though the opposite is true.

Long explanation short:
Someone suggests that 3+3=7, I reply by correcting them, and I get negative feedback for it.

Hmm, I see where you're going, I voted yes, because I like the decorating idea, but I agree with everyone else about rating people. It's bad for the self-esteem.

I love the customizing as its your own profile so Id rather let people have there own look

And there could be a guestbook or something!!

First thing is already possible using a personalized profile.

The second thing should only be implemented if the profile can only be edited by that person.

I don't think they are talking about the on forum profile ... looks more like the other profile view (the place where mods can add comments)

and Yes... I am a great fan of IPB's profile system ... I'd love to see it on FM.
IPB profiles offer
*latest posts organized in an intellegent fashion
*ability to post photo on profile
*ability to leave comment on profile by all members (a thank you shoutbox in your profile)
*friends /foe list
*more info and stats
*etc

That is what I was talking about. A personalized profile will allow you to add a box for members to add comment to in the profile.

my bad ... I was away when the personalized profile came out and I still don't know how to use it and what can be done with it...

Yes that idea is great. I'm a Moderator of a vB forum and you have the ability to customise your profile and it's pretty good.
