I don't like forums with that facility - i.e. the latest visitors who view his/her profie - I think it's intrusive.

There are a lot of free forums out there with a lot more functions and addons.
It's getting a little dragging and boring for members with always the same stuff and not many possibilities.

IF.. and I do stress 'if'.. we get a new profile with the next update, it will be included. Allegedly, we're suppose to be getting a new profile to match that of real IPBoards. With those, you see who the latest visitors were and visitors can post messages on your profile page, as well be able to actually view your latest posts without clicking on a link and leaving your profile page.

These suggestions will likely never even be considered by the Forumotion team.

Look key word.... FORUMotion... doesn't mention profiles.. you should be more concerend on the Forum itself and NOT your profiles..

I agree with you, DS, that we don't want to turn this place into a MySpace (sucks in my opinion), but if members were to have a little more to play with, like their profiles, it is proven by other forum providers that members will tend to stick around longer on the 'forum'. Personally, I'd rather have my members be able to interact with each other in a similar fashion as that on any community page than to just stop by the forum every once in awhile to see if anything new has been posted and then zip off again just to join their chat buddies on the likes of MySpace, Facebook, Multiply, etc. If the members are sticking around and chatting it up on each others pages, they also tend to come up with other ideas to post about in the forum. But, that's just my opinion having seen it work on several other forum providers.
