I don't understand your idea Kilsek, can you explain again ?

1 ~> Already possible
2 ~> A bad idea, and already a solution
If you're gng to be away for a certain period, but don't want to be logges out, simply type /away;)
It'll put your status as away and will not log you out

Well; Caihlem, once again you say that something is possible but you do not explain.
How about sharing with us how it is possible to have the chatroom appear in the forums when you click on a forum link from the index?

Well kilsek, once again, I wll invite you to read the tutorials

That tutorial of yours does not do what I propose. That just puts the chatbox on the index page, not at the bottom of the forums.

You can have I like we have ours: as a link in te Who's onlineblock
P.S: I've added your info in the Favicon tutorial

Caihlem, I do have the link as well, but I just thought it would be better to have it below all the topics and at the bottom of the threads so you can read the topics/replies and comment on them while chatting.
But the link works as well.
oh ya, that /away idea doen't work either:
As you can see I was logged out after about nine minutes

Yea When you set yourself as away you get logged out anyways.I think Admin should be able to set the time before loggouts, and if /away would not log you out.

Exist there the possibility to put an "Who's online" icon for the chatbox status??? (like the one for the forum logged members). Or maybe an automatic login to the chatbox when a member log in to the forum.
Anyway this is just a question and not really a need.

In my case I'd greatly prefer if I could set the amount of time on my forum before a user is kicked from the chatbox. 30 minutes would be optimal, 15 is WAY too short. Sometimes I'll be chatting with someone and they'll leave to eat, but they get kicked after only 15 minutes.
I've been googling for 3 hours now, does anyone have a code I can plug into my HTML pages that can give my shoutbox notification abilities? It seems the forumotion staff haven't added it yet and it's been in debate for over a year so I'll just add it myself if possible. I'd prefer sound and tab flashing/blinking/altered tab title but I'll take anything because right now the current shoutbox barely functions for my small forum.
Any help is appreciated
Edit: Oh wow fawk this topic is way old, thought it was a lot newer when I posted in it

The reason that feature is there is in-case someone leaves for about 24 hours that user isn't still logged in.

Well, is that an issue? And how does extending the kick from 15 to 30 mins = forever?
And how about the notifications? Any codes I might be able to use or HTML snippets?
