This is a standard feature of phpBB3 and I was wondering if we could have it here too. What I mean is when you view the post details (which I have not found here yet) you can change the post author.
I would really like to have this feature included in the forums.
Thanks

What use would it do?

I have a "mascot" on my forum that I change the posts to when I am posting news, etc.
Without it, I must log out of my main account, login with that accout, post, logout of that account again and then log back in with mine in both the forum and the admin panel.
With this function, I am able to simply change the poster without having to logout and back in.

That is not hitskin, that is one I developed a while back for a customer.

I don't get it.
so would this be for the user to change only?
or the admin?
or another users changes someone else's post?!
seems confusing to me. plus it might mess up my post count

Only admins and moderators can do that. Normal users cannot alter post details.
And I will send you a PM CPR RIDER so I don't spam the forum.

This seems only an idea which YOU could use, not everyone else changes an account just to post an anouncement or news.
To me, that seems pointless and a waste of time... that is just my opinion though.
I am going to say "NO".
My reason being, I don't agree with personalised requests, by this I mean, something that is only suggested to benefit the person who made the thread and not everyone else, as a whole personal gain is somewhat selfish.

I did not say that I was the only one who ever does that. Others may do the same thing but did not know the option was there. Or even if someone does not do it, they may take the suggestion and actually put it to use in their own forums.
It could be of gain to others. Not saying it is, not saying it isn't, but it is a suggestion.
I was just using what I do as an example.

Why are you argueing with me?
If you don't want people to give their opinions... then don't post a suggestion with a poll in the first place..
This is what this board is for, it's designed to get opinions from people.
Secondly, I never said that you said you were the only person to use this, I said it "Seems" at the moment that you would be the only person to be able to use this function for a descent reason. "This seems only an idea which YOU could use"

Doesn't have a point to it. Just looks like it will get confusing and mixed up.

I was not trying to argue, just justifying, or rather clearing what I meant. I was not trying to be offensive. My apologies if that is what it seemed like.
