Login attempts decrease to 3

I was thinking... Should login attempts be decreased ? I think that 9 is FAR too much... I mean : if you forgot your password, doesnt make any difference, because if you couldnt remember it at 3rd try, you will hardly remember it at 9th. And due to security reasons - somebody will be able to try his luck 9x to get into your account.

Its just a thought, that i honestly didnt manage to think well at 2.27 AM ( my time ).

Not really mate.

Also, don't forget it could be Bots who are looking.. but I don't think it's all Bots..

Also, lets see how much they DON'T like security when some idiot tries to hack them and suceeds.. and then the lose their Forums.

I would like to resurrect this idea again and say yes.....change log in attempts to 3 or lower it to at least 5. I went to log into my forum and some one already had 9 attempts trying to log in under my user name. He didn't succeed but i had to wait 90 minutes before i could log on again.

It Is better to use 5 why?
Some people Use many Password in there account,

Like me
I do have 1 set of Password ( 5 Password ) 2 are Hard to type because the are CaPItAlIzE with matching Numbers
