:::: This is quite a specific mod, but I think it would be a really cool addition.
I run a blog which has forums attached to it. What would be cool is if you could set up a particular forum for say 'News' and link the forum to an RSS feed.
Whenever a new post is added to that RSS feed, that item gets added to the News forum automatically as a new topic. Taking the title, first few lines of the post, and the link/permalink to the post.
The News forum would be read-only, with only the RSS import mod allowed to post new topics.
Regular forum users are then able to reply to those topics, so it creates a kind of comment system.
a similar mod is available for phpbb its called autoposting bot

With Hyperlinks on the main Forum/Thread.. which would lead to another area where the news would be posted, and then on that thread to get back again.
