Force website link on registering here

Ok I have seen hundreds of topics for people asking for help but when I look for their site globe link it isnt there which makes me have to post and ask for a link to their site instead of possibly answering thier request.

I propose we force them to put in their link in order to register here.

Now for those who dont have a site, well leave that up to Caihlem to figure out.

Would like this. But I do have a forumotion forum but I really dont want people to use it. Its only for my group. But I can post a forum that I am part of.

Voted YES!

I would make the people that are trying to help the members get what they need to we can help them faster.

I vote yes, because, people fake that stuff. It is really hard to go in the graphic request topics and say 'Please add a link to your forum' over and over again.

so what happen in case that people really not fake it but they don't want to show their link to evryone?
6 Trevor, on 08/12/2008 at 03h42
Well, no link, no help.

I wouldn't like it.
Just an invitation for trolls etc.
Seems to be the rule is if you ask for help, and it requires a "look" then you will need to provide it.

Well, than they could just do this type of thing(Nothing there, just "about:blank"

Thats harsh, is it not? HARSH!

Yes, its a good idea, but those with-out a forum and wont to see how tips and tricks are done, they wouldn't be able to get in

And in the case of MrMario, yes..he does not wish to show people his forum's address, what would happen then?

Voted yet Very Happy

I think it's not harsh, because sometimes you can't help somebody without his forumlink.
Sometimes it is necessary to see the forum, because otherwise you can't explane it.

I voted no. Its their choice whether they like to put a link to their forum or not. And forcing people into something = bad.

I vote yes, a great idea

I kind of think it could be helpful in keeping spammers away in a sense, no? I mean why else would you sign up at the support forum if you didn't have a forum that you need support with, like Cherry says, seems logical, no?
