Seeing as how these are phpbb boards, I know theres a similar topic mod out there somewhere, phpbbfm (phpbb fully modded) comes with this one. And it would be a great addition to help with search engine optimization.

What it does is displays a table of 5 topics that are similar to the one that the person is looking at, based on the topic title.

Is this idea similar to an advanced search add-on ? Because if it is, it'd already been suggested

no and yes, its the search automatically being done and shown to the user without them doing anything

yea, it has no connection with the user entering a search string. Say for example you scroll down to the bottom of this thread, right under the quick reply box is the similar topics box listing 5 similar topics to the one your staring at now.

voted yes on this, this makes it easier for the mods aswell, like if there were multiple topic about that certain subject already.
