I think there should be a thing called ''Ban multible accounts''

Im sick of people signing up with multi accounts on my site and I think you should have the right to stop it.

Obviously some people dont want this feature but you can go to admin panel and turn it on or off if you like so there is no complaining.

I think this would be a bonus.

What do you think?

I voted yes. It sounds useful. It would be nice if forum would automatically check IP of new account and compare it to existing accounts - and then ban the account.

I vote no. Since alot of people come on from the same computer and they do have people on the same family join.

It is possible that there are more than one family member to use a forum.
what happens then? my spouse or child has the same IP#.

Maybe like only having so many accounts on the same IP.

I voted yes ONLY if it was an option the Admin could choose to not use if they wanted. We have 4 computers hooked up here at the house...everyone HAS to have their own lol, and my sister is on my forum so it shows up as the same IP.

No use. Not only can multiple people use the same IP to get on a forum (and legitimately be more than 1 person), but also if people wanted so desperately to use 2 accounts, then they could always use proxys and such to change their IP with every post.

I vote no. What if people are using the internet from an internet cafe. There could be lots and lots of people who get banned unfairly.
