Password for forum

On a particular forum i think there should be a password to go in

what do you think?

Ok for example lets say the garbage here, if you want members to post here, they need a password.

I think yes. I like the idea of only allowing specific members into specific parts of the forum.

Group solves that pretty good right now, plus members could share that password with someone else to secretly grant him access too. So i am kinda divided between Yes and No.

I already suggested this Wink in this thread but im still voting here.

This would be a great feature to prevent particular users access to some parts of the forum

but then you could know who logged in,guests cant go in either

Ya I think that this would be a good idea because if i have a VIP section that people have to pay for I can just give them the password and i dont think that they would pass it around cause they payed for it and I can always just change the password. Voted Yes.

Hello,

I voted no. Why? Well, first of all: Security. A member could easily give out the password to another member who is not allowed to access that section as stated by another member, and number two: We've already got groups to have users to access certain sections of the forums as stated by another member. Smile
