Hello folks,
I was wondering if someone can help me to create a new button from an existing one. The button is a transparent image and I need to change the coloured part from blue to a nice, darker and brighter blue and still keep it as a transparent image. Or even if you can tell me how to do this. I use paint shop pro but I couldn't figure out how to do this in a proper and professional way.
Thanks very much

Hi Brij,
Thanks very much for working on these, but those icons you altered are not transparent images. I need a transparent image in order for it to look right on my forum.

Hi Improviser...OMG! This is just about what I need and it's transparent!
How'd you do that?
If I may ask, can you try to make the second image stand out a bit more? I'm not particular on the hue/shade of blue, but I need the two images to look considerably different. It's for indicating new messages in my forums.
THANKS SO MUCH, I wish I could have done this myself. I tried and tried and couldn't figure it out.

Yep, but that is a bit too light, can you just make the second one that you fixed a bit more brighter or stand out more? And I have another last favour too if you don't mind.
I thought I could do this myself as well but I can't. I need to create an icon that shows locked forums. I need to put this image of a lock in the center of the original icon I posted, not the enhanced blue one.
Here is the image of the lock:
Could you shrink the lock image down to 20% of it's original size and then place it in the very center of the original icon and still make the whole image transparent?

Thank you InsanityVonMike! It's not exactly what I wanted, but it's very good, I like it.
How do you guys work with these images and so fast?????
I really hate to ask people for help and just wish I could do these things myself.
I'm not a total dummy but when doing certain things with images, I can't figure it out. Or maybe I can't do them with my program. I use paint shop pro. What do you guys use to work with these images?
Thanks so much both of you for helping me...I really appreciate it !

Thanks again everyone who helped me here, I really appreciate it.
No problem Brij, you tried and your revised icons were just like the ones I was able to create. I just needed the images to be transparent and couldn't figure this out either. I'm going to mark this topic as solved now.
Thanks again everyone!
