Global Announcement!

This global announcement, i am very surprised it has not already been inplememted.

And to be quite honest I hate the announcements scroller.

If you put a PHPBB3 forum on your own host you will see it has this global announcement, but I dont like the layout of PHPBB3 and thats why i opened a forum with mighty mighty Forumotion

I agree, I think we do need global announcements. I'd like this implimented in Invision as well though.

To get a message clear and through to everyone so there's no possibility of someone saying "I had no idea because I don't go in (some forum)"

The newsletters from Forumotion are pretty awful. The ones I send never get to anybody and they always have this not like
"If this is spam contact the administrator" before that actual message comes along.
Global announcements aer much easier. Nuff said.

And if's it's been repeatedly requested that means that the members really want such a feature for their forums. And if they want it, it should be implemented.

I use the news letter on my forum and use the one that is on top where it reads Members and it has got to one and all every time. So I would be happy with just that as it is and has worked for me.
