Improving Basic BBCodes?

When I use this codes they always appear at the bottom, and I have to move them.. and it would be much easier if I could just select a text and use the code on it...
It might sound stupid, but it really does get on my nerves...

oh, and here an example, when I want to place links like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danzig_(band), it doesn't include the brackets...

I usually write long posts and when I'm finished I decorate the text (size, fonts, colors and similar). Everytime I do that it moves me to the top and I get lost... When I insert links, images and videos the code appears at the bottom, and I have to cut it and search the place I wanted to place it and paste it there... It's so annoying.

ok, I mean only when placing url-s, images and videos... but when I decorate the text I get lost cause it moves me to the top...

If you highlight the text you want to alter first
by holding the left mouse button down and dragging
across the text
then decorate, i find this usually works out OK Smile
