Lock topics from mods.

I've had trouble on my forum with mods posting in locked topics. While I have warned them about demotion and they have stopped, I think it would be nice if there was an option to lock topics from ALL members except from admins to prevent this from happening again.

I know this sounds maybe like a weird thing to suggest, moderators should be trustworthy, but I just dont want that to happen on my forum again.

So do you guys think that it would be a good idea?

Don't see why it would be needed. My mods don't post unless it's actually necessary and if the topic was completely locked, they would just unlock it, post, then lock it again. It makes no difference really.

You should be able to trust your moderators, you have given them power over members, if you can't trust them about posting in a locked topic, then they shouldn't be moderators on your forum.

Agree with Tilum if you can't trust them then why have staff?

There really is no point in this idea so its a no from me and like you said you just warn them of demotion and they stop so really there is no problem
