I started a role play forum, and the character limit is far less than that of Invisionfree, the forum software I used previously. I do believe it was 65,000 character limit, while this forums software allows 15,000? Something like that. This smaller character limit causes a problem when posting characters to use for role play, the poster has to split their characters into multiple posts, this is very inconvenient. My poll is suggesting to boost this character limit to match or surpass invisionfree's. It is too restricting to creative writers that like to give a lot of detail to their characters. And this isn't the only thing it could restrict, writers in general are restricted by this.

Yeah, you need to post your RPG posts separate. I really do think the size should be increased, though. Voted yes.

I've been waiting for this since 2007.

I'm glad to see people agree with me. Missing a feature like that can really hinder the ability to gain members. They see posting multiple times as a hassle they wouldn't have to endure on other sites, and that is not a good thing for forum admins, trying to get a good forum going on this forum version.

Bump.
C'mon folks, vote. You'll never get anything if you don't voice your opinion.

While my site is not RPG based and normally would not need that many characters, I think this is great idea for the general public. I host an art website, and as such, I have a writing section. I would hate for my members to be restricted if they ever want to write a "whole book" xD

I've actually attempted that on my old site, the invisionfree one. I got 5 chapters in one post. (big chapters mind you) I couldn't even get 1 in a post on this forums software... Not very good...
But yeah, thanks for the votes everyone, gotta get more though, so keep up the voting. This feature/upgrade could potentially benefit all of us at some point.

I will gladly vote. In fact, this is the reason I came here. I made forums yesterday and noticed many of our favorite topics can't be posted because of this limit. I was thinking there was a way for me to adjust it myself in preferences, so I came here to see where it was and I find this, which explanes everything.
I vote for yes, and maybe even suggest for the added forum customization of being allowed to choose our own post character limits. How can anyone have a good debate if the post limit is so small??

I agree to that as well. Either way would be nice, even if not the customization (I don't know how much harder it would be to add the interface, instead of just boosting the current limit), but yeah, it seems like this is a fairly large problem.
Keep up the votes.
And thank you to those who did and do vote.

I don't know about yours but my post only 3298 characters and when I post it, it said "The posted message is too big." so I would voted yes ...

If only this company was more reliable. I cannot forgive and forget such a huge mistake as to delete half my forums posts and a good deal of irreplaceable writing.
So, I hope for you, the members still using this software, that they do up this character limit and make you all happier. I don't trust them anymore, so I have switched forums.

Why can't just forumotion increase the limits? 15000 is really pathecially small.

Haha, 20 to 0, amazing, and I don't think this topic will be graced by a mod that can provide any information as to whether or not this is even being considered.

I don't know if this is already suggested, but I will post this. I think it would be good to make limit of character in posts. I mean for example there must be minimum 40 characters in post. This would prevent spamming and pointless posts. The way I mean
First of all, I noticed that this forum's character limit for the topic title is only between 0 and 128 characters. However, on my forum, the minimum amount of characters is 10, and the maximum is 255. This can get annoying at times, when I want a topic t
