NO Limit to how many messages a forum can have

The current limit is 4 billion if you exceed it... but why? Why should there be a limit? Every other non forumotion forum have no limits so why should forumotion?

But what about the possibility of someone making a spam forum and filling it up with nothing but crap just to fill it up. The 4 billion post limit sounds reasonable if thats a problem.
