right.
im on a forum on toribash and they have a auto infaction sytem where if you swear, spam, or somthing the moderators dont like they press this little button on the side of your post witch infracts you with pionts and then it pm's you saying what you did wrong, how many pionts you got and links you to the concernd post[s]

and what happens is they choose how many pionts to infract you with and how long for
then like i said before it all automated after that.

and if you hit like 5 pionts that would be a 1 day ban
and 10 pionts is a week
and 20 is a permban

i think this should be in the next phpbb3 or 4

Do not understand very well but there is an anti-spam and anti-vacuum in forumotion.


You can activate it at:

ACP - General - Forum - Security - Anti-spiders mode (for your pages and the emails inside): Active

no its a infraction system warnings only automatic

Warnings can make custom profiles but with the page that is external to forumotion samples, it has the same characteristics.

What jake is suggesting is a automatic version all together.
Forumotion, doesn't have those things automatic.

I could work, but it could derail. It could be overused and you may lose people. However, I've seen other forums use it and they have used it to a greater extent. It could replace the reputation button.

yer the reputation button doesnt get used on my forum infact i dont think i have it active.

with automatice infrations the admins job is one bit easyer

One of my users was thinking about this: can we install an infraction system? I was thinking about this because then you dont have to ban them instantly. Instead, if you really like that user, but he did something bad, you just get an infraction point. So
Infraction System
Instead of permanently banning a member from your forum, I was thinking of an implementation of the infraction system. Infractions are points that are issued to members for breaking rules. After a certain number of points, consequences set it. Such as
Replies 1 to 11 on 11 for "automatic infraction system"
