There should be option to enable chatbox on all forum pages - not just on the main page. Some people prefer reading forum topics AND chatting at the same time.
Note that i said OPTION so this means you could enable it if you wanted, and you wouldn't have to if you don't want it.

You could always click the link and open the Chatobx up on another browser...?

You cant click the link that someone post in chatbox with copy/paste. It acts like simple text.
We would appreciate this function!
It would be nice if we could start a private chat with one person thats active in chatbox. It could be implemented in the menu that you get once you right click on the name in chatbox.
Chatbox disconnects you after 15 min of inactivity. It would be nice if we had option to change this in administrator panel/widget settings. I am sure a lot of people would turn this option off or set up time to some higher value.
