so its a university private forum for students (non-students cant register!!) and i wanted a good review so tell me what u think???

Generalities
- First Impressions (Score: 10/20): This site's first impression is not at all, the colors are too bright and they just don't match. The portal is empty at the center. The pictures quiality ain't very good either. You must change those colors and fill the portal up with something, like news.
- Categories & Forums (Score: 8/10): The amount of categories is okay, not confuissing. It matches with the forum's main theme and their colors are okay. What I would add are forum pictures, it will make them look better,

Banner
The banner is nice but I don't get why you make those borders to it, it ruins everything. It perfectly matches the forum's theme and it's well designed but you must remove those borders.
Navigation Bar
I'm sorry but your nav bar looks horrible: the font is not good, the colors don't match at all and it's too big. Definately the first thing you must do is change it, it causes a very bad first impression.

They are too bright and not discrete at all. The combination should be blue and light blue, blue and white, but not yellow and orange.
- Images & Icons (Score: 3/10):
I don't get why your "Who's online?" and "New posts - No new posts" pics are leaves.
Buttons: You kept the default ones that don't match with anything in your forum. You must change them.
Ranks: They are too big, it took a long time for me to realize that those huge pictures were ranks. Make them smaller.
Another thing I realized was that you're using the default online picture at the bottom at the messages. It can only be used with phpBB3.

Almost all the members there seem to be part of the staff, there are 3 administrators and more than 4 moderators for a not very active community. You should cut some members.
- Staff Groups / User Groups (Score: 7/10): Moderators, Administrators and Admin's assistants. Assistants? Why on earth did you make that group? Just merge that group with administratirs. And you should add more groups such as "Designers", "VIP" or whatever you want.

+7000 posts for only 400 members makes a very good impression, it shows your forum is active. That's very good. But remember, not only the staff should post.
- Users Active (Score: 8/10): Only a few members logged in in the past 48 hours. You should work harder with the activity, write interesting news about your university or tips for the tests. Then your members will love to stay are a place where they can get what they are really interested in.

oh thank u alot n i have replies for all what u said!!!
ok so now the leaves and design and colors it should be for the autumn season we have we change the theme according to seasons and celebrations!!!
and the staff:
admins: whenever any admin graduate they assign an active and still not graduated member to be an admin so thats why there are 3 admins
and mods: well the point of that is we want the people to feel important and participate in the community coz most members seem to be only interested in getting study materials and leave without participating and we did a marketing campaign and we got some new members and stuff but not as supposed to be so that is a problem i dunno what to do with no matter what we did members won't post i dunno!!
n i will fix the banner
and about the homepage msg i had some problems with it, it won't just be as i wanted it to be it was fine before but i did something n it won't just be fixed!!!
i dont understand what u mean by forum pictures quality, ranks or empty portal??
can u explain more?
and if u have ideas about attracting people to post and participate i would appreciate that!!!

he means the portal is not being occupied on column 2. Actually, i noticed Nacho didn't mentioned all of the things needed to be fixed and didn't maked it clear. I could make a new and deeper review about your forum but not necessary now, a reviewer may fix that review, You can request another review next week.

First impressions:I've seen that your portal looks empty because no wide widget is placed on the column 2 or simply you disabled guests to view the news part of your forum. I would suggest you to add a widget on column 2 with the news on your forum and letting guests to see it.
Categories and Forums:There are no descriptions on every forum and this makes your forum look more empty, i would suggest you to have all of the forums having descriptions so the guest will know what is the function of each forum. Also, i would suggest you to place the advetisment forum to the most bottom because it is just an advertisement place for your members.
Colors: The colors are dark green+dark blue, i would suggest you to have lighter colors, white plus yellow would be great on your forum.
