The welcome messages options are pretty basic. I propose that we at least be able to put links in it.

HTML should be allowed in the welcome message to provide more input on what your forum is about. Voted yes.
Well it was pretty ovbious when the OP said it wasn't possible

You shouldn't need HTML... You can do the same exact thing with minor resrictions as HTML with BBcode.

Plus u can already add links, look the the text & links on the SF's homepage...the text is linked!
